I asked a question which a few of you were nice enough to answer for me. I met Dr Eugene Buzz Aldrin Jr. Today :)

The photo with him I was lucky enough to get for free although at the actual event they took him out a side way, but the convention center was at a hotel so we waited in the lobby. The autograph was recieved by me directly from him several years ago for free for a charity auction, which I turned around and was the winning bidder on because I used to know someone that worked in his office.
They actually sent three items. A signed book, a signed original NASA 8x10 and this signed collectors copy of the Life magazine that was in a special red leather binder. And I bid on this item. I had asked if people thought he would pose for a picture...sign a program or I had toyed with the idea of seeing if he would inscribe this to me as it was already signed. I decided for two reasons not to.
For one it would make the value less....although I will never sell it and to me it doesnt matter how much its worth when im gone....But also I didnt want it to look like I wanted an autograph or they might not stop.
I had brought along another letter for a charity that I am currently getting autographed items for and his Assistant remembered the email I had sent her but she had been unable to reply yet. She said he always makes donations such as that but it still needed to be sent through the mail and not gotten in person because for one thi g there are certain items he wouldnt sign due to them being One Of A Kind.....

Sweet! Very jealous! I've always wanted his autograph but just can't afford it and his website doesn't ship internationally. :(

I wouldn't trust that anything sold at a charity auction is real after reading that someone on here sold the John Travolta secretarials to some poor unknowing fans believing that the ones they were sent were actually real when they only matched the fake autographs.

Unless you have ever got those authenticated I wouldn't believe you had real Buzz Aldrin autographs.

As I said I knew the lady (on a professional basis) working in Mr Aldrin's office. They donate this and two other items to a Cystic Fibrosis Charity I was helping with.
She was contacted directly through his website but no longer works for him. They FedExed the items from his office directly in care of me for the auction. I bought several items at the auction that I had helped aquire....As I knew what the authenticity was.

Ps....When I say for free....They send them for free. I then bidded on the items at the auction...I as co chair still have the fed ex box the lot came in with the return address of his company on it....So it is as real as anything he sells for 400.00 on his site. I also kept the return envelope from Bob Kane as the return address has his signature in a box like he signed his drawings.....hand written by him and he drew the Batman Logo of the Bat around my name and address also handwritten by him :)
