Are International Reply Coupons still accepted in the UK?

I live in Italy and I need to send a fanmail to the UK, with a SASE included. However I read from the Royal Mail website that IRCs are no longer sold in the country. Does it mean that IRCs can no longer be exchanged for Royal Mail postage too? I don't have the slightest idea of where to find UK stamps here, in case IRCs from foreign countries aren't accepted :( any help? Thanks in advance!

IRC's are still accepted for exchange here.

We in the UK just cannot physically buy them anymore.
