First time Poster

Unread post by Ryan_Lost »

Hey, I recently found this site and it's pretty great. Anyway, I'm from England [uk] , I'm 16 and have never sent any sort of letter in my life. Like, my parents are the ones who do that. So some help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure who I want to send to yet but when I do I will want to send a photo of them to get it signed.

This is where I have no idea what to do. So when I have my photo how do I go about sending it. Do I put it in a normal envelope from the post office and buy a stamp from the post office and send it to the actor/actresses address? I'm guessing I better put my address aswell on a piece of paper with the photo so they can send it back.

Is this all I have to do?

Here is a quick how-to:

Foreign requests:
For your return you will need a self addressed envelope and return postage. This can be obtained in the from of stamps (for example if you are sending to the US you will need US stamps) which you can usually get through the autograph exchange/sale forum. Or a small amount of foreign currency of the place your envelope will be coming from (coins I wouldn't recommend so use say a few $1 US or a 5EURO note).

Seal all of that in your envelope to the celeb and take it to the post office to be weighed. International postage is more expensive than regular UK postage. If you have stamps at home already check out the prices online at the Royal Mail website and see how many you need to put on.

UK requests:
As above except your return envelope needs a UK stamp and celeb envelope needs one too. 8x10 pictures cost more to send so again you'd need to look into the prices.
