This pains me to say, it really does, but dancingirl/boy/inbetweener is right on this one. This forum is far too full of people who are either inexperienced (which is fine, everyone has to learn from the start) or unwilling to understand the truth, or just stupid.

How many posts have to be made of "wow this is awesome, honest, this is real" before people clock a few things. I get you can be disappointed if a sec/ap/pp comes back, but that's part of it. Trying to claim its real is not. If you don't post an image you're pretty much dead in the water in terms of any argument you may have of it being genuine.

But without a pic... you wouldn't believe it but I wrote to the White House and asked President Obama if he could sign my limited edition print. I know it was a risk, as only ten of this print were made, but it came back signed "Barack Obama, President of the USA".

You'd hardly believe it would you?

Exactly. Without a picture, you can say just about anything! And the sad thing is that many people here believe it without proof.
If anyone has researched this site (which I guess they haven't), they would see that 99.999% of autographs from Johnny Depp are AUTO-PEN. The last authentic success I found here was from 2008: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=94492 and it is real because it was sent VV and also it has amazing personalization! He just doesn't sign authentically anymore unless you meet him in person. Just saying...if you do any research at all, you will see that.

The kid didn't refuse to post his autographed photo of Depp. He said right up front that he doesn't own a scanner, and doesn't otherwise have the technology to post the signiture. So now you guys are putting words into the kid's mouth, and then judging him for stuff you're making up about him? Shame on you.

And Dancing Girl, either you're unaware of internet etiquette and don't know that posting in all caps suggests shouting, in which case you need to get some counseling to learn how to control your temper, or you are aware of internet etiquette, in which case you're just rude. In either case, although I respect your tenacity if not your aptitude for simple logic, I think you'd be a lot more comfortable on one of the internet sites that specialize in JFK assassination conspiracy theories, UFO sightings, or real-life vampires, where you possibly can perform some real service to your fellow correspondants.
