Like I had said: they aren't allowed to open her mail unless they are instructed to.
Absolutely correct. I was going to note on my post that I'm sure she has instructed them not to pass it on, not that they would throw it away without permission.

I see what you're saying, but there are appropriate avenues for this and sending to her university is not one of them. She seems like a nice person who loves getting to know her fans, but that's why she has a fan mail address and replies to people on twitter, etc.

While it obviously won't hurt to try, it just seems like something extremely rude to do. I would never do that when I know someone is just trying to go to school like a regular student and get an education. It's just an inappropriate place to send (In my opinion).

I happen to attend Loyola and was sad when I found out Miranda was attending USC since that was the school I passed down. I have many high school friends who goes there that were not aware of her presence or even seen her on campus. In order to write to any student at USC, you need to know their mailbox number. Every student that dorms on campus is provided one. The campus' office does not pass on mail to the students as there are thousands attending. If you don't know her dorm, I suggest you save your stamps!!

You guys don't want to send to personal home addresses but you will send to college address.

I go to college and I can assure you if I were famous I would not want to be getting fanmail at my own personal address. Dealing with fanmail at your home address is different, but at college I would not want to deal with. Let them be and let them study.

EDIT: Also just because you were to put her name on the envelope doesn't mean it will go to her. If by chance she were to live on campus you'd have to know the exact building and room number.

Just taking a guess she's not living on campus, I don't know.

I'm sure you will have a better chance recieving a success sending to her home address if that is the case as I assure you the college will not forward your mail without a valid student mail box number. You will be lucky if you were to recieve a RTS & get your items back. I am speaking soley off experience of sending letters to friends at USC; however, if you are still looking to try, I look forward to seeing your feedback- I'm serious!
