Selling Hard to Get Autographs

I have to agree. Someone setting a price doesn't mean a darn thing. You have to look at the autographs that have SOLD, not the ones that haven't.

Because someone places a price on an autograph on ebay doesn't mean that's what it's worth in retail. I can put my own graph and put a million dollars up for ebay..Someone made an offer on that listing but we don't know how much that person offered on it. Could be any price. I wasn't directing my comment at you, i just put my own view on it is all. He is rare as his autograph is hard to receive If he signs TTM i'm sure alot of people would write but doesn't mean people will pay over $100 for him.

And if people would actually research his signing habits, they would know it's worth it. And people need to remember that the members on here are 89% kids, so they can't afford it. (The OP's mistake) ,but if he were to put that on Ebay, it would sell because it's cheap and authentic.

Selling for $15? Yeah if it's real. I didn't say ebay setting a price meant anything either!
It was in general becuase someone said "he wasn't in demand..." ,but that's not true.

The same can be said of the autograph here in question.

Remember, though: MULTIPLE autographs were all selling below $15 of Culkin.

And the fact that the market is what determines the price shows that he is not necessarily "in demand." The market has set the price of an unauthenticated Culkin autograph to approximately $15 give-or-take shipping.

One buyer setting a BIN listing on eBay at an outrageous price that only has a history of one offer is not even borderline probative of "high demand."

I'm sorry, but Culkin might be very difficult to get, and he might have an occult following with some, but that price is still outrageous.

But something about those on ebay vs this option is that it's 100% real. Something acconts for that.
And if you don't think so, then you aren't a real collector. For big and rare names, a big amount needs to get paid. That's all i'm saying.

No offense to you or your friend, but I have as much faith in the authenticity of this autograph as I do in some of those on eBay. Granted, some on eBay are clearly fake. (Some autographs sold here are clearly fake.) But as it has no form of authenticity to accompany it, and I did not get it in-person, it is worth to same to another collector as it is to me: equal to eBay average sales. Sorry, that's just the way of the hobby.
