NEED Info On UK Class Stamps!

I am from Canada and the postal is very simple to understand. It's very basic. I am trying to buy stamps from the UK but I'm not sure which ones would do the job. I'll be sending SASE to the celebrity. What class stamps would I use and how many??

2nd class stamps are worth £0.50




1st class stamps are worth £0.60




As for prices you will need to estimate the weight of the return envelope, convert to grams, and check the price here

Please be sure to put excess postage on because the prices are probably going up in April 2013.

So for a regulat 4 x 6 envelope, I'd put 2 2nd class? Would that ork?

Prices are likely to go up in less than 2 months so personally I would use 4x2nd to be safe.

Even for a letter up to 10g £1 may not be enough after the rises, they are pretty steep here.

Perhaps a 10p addition would cover it, as it is possible that the international change might be slightly more than the domestic. Last years increases were all fine in that respect.

As for costly... not really... you can send a letter the length of the country for 60p, with a 90% chance it will be there within 18 hours of posting it. Not too bad really when you think about it. Granted it was cheaper this time last year, but that's the way life is.

Oh wow, that's pretty good. Someone else told me that in order to send a standard 4 x 6 SASE, I have to put 4 1st class stamps.....
