Sent a damaged poster because I didnt expect to get it back. He did sign it and added the lyrics to the song he sang in the movie.

Like, wow! That's quite a score! Kirk Douglas is one of a very few classic stars still dwelling among us. I envy you.

I wish he wouldn't pick and choose. Makes no sense.. Like Adam West. Randomly sends rejection letters 1 day and replies the other.

The way I've seen it with Kirk Douglas is that you got to send something "unique." In this case, the OP sent a poster. A poster would probably get attention rather than an 8x10 photo. Same goes with his books that generally get signed.
