matte or gloss finish photos?

Unread post by tyler_jrb »

Hi I am planning to send new requests in the next few weeks and i wanted your opinions. I am ordering from snap fish and i have bought glossy photos so far but they easily fingerprint stain and scratch etc, i was wondering what is the matte finish like on photos are they more rigid in the way of not scratching and having a less chance of getting fingerprint stains? and what do they look like as long as they look good then i would rather get the matte finish but im unsure.

Thanks all, Tyler_b

I've had matte finish from Snapfish and didn't like them at all, they were dull, dull, dull.

I know there is the postage charge to consider but you could order one or two matte and glossy of the same print to compare in the flesh so to speak.

ok thank you, i don't mind really i will just order two of each in matte and glossy to compare. if i do choose glossy i will try to be extra careful and send them in the plastic wallets to stop them getting scratched.

ordered matt just to see what they were like and, they looked awsome. Better texture and for me they look much better detailed, professional and they are less likely to scratch or fingerprint so i went with them instead of gloss :D

Well I must be in the minority because I thought matte were just awful.

But i'm glad you've found something you're happy with and thanks so much for updating the post {up}
