Kevin Costner (The Guardian) success

Unread post by SpeedBall »

I sent two pictures and an index card to Kevin Costner on the set of The Guardian. He signed and personalized both photos but sent the index card back unsigned with a note saying he can't sign index cards. Sweet score from a great actor.

'The Guardian'
"A" School Prods.
1545 Line Ave., Suite 330
Shreveport, LA 71101

Send: 1/14/2006
Rec'd: 4/25/2006

As always, I put my name and address in the sender and receiver spot on my SASE so the post office has to deliver it no matter what.

What exactely is an index card? I never understood the idea. Why not just a regular picture?

index card

Unread post by celebrityfan »

Fatima, an index card is just a blank piece of white card basically. He probably can't sign them in case people make a big mount of it - I've seen some mounts. They have an index card signed, a picture of the actor and a mini-picture of the film poster - they mount and frame it all and sell it for loads more!

Fatima,

The reason I usually try for an index card is that it is difficult to get multiple signatures on one photo through the mail. But if I have a picture of Danny Glover and Mel Gibson from Lethal Weapon and both of their autographs on index cards, I can create a display. Or if Danny Glover and Mel Gibson are in some movie that I really enjoy in the future, I already have their signatures.

Happy hunting,
Chris
