Asking celebs questions other than for autographs.

Sorry if this has been asked before, or if I am in the wrong section for this. I am new here. I'm not one to write celebrities, and did a search, but I was curious about the hat that Casey Affleck wore in the movie Assassination of Jessie James. I'd really like a replica if they exist.

I've scoured the internet for this hat, who made it, etc and I decided I would just ask the man himself. I'm probably taking a long shot, but you never know he might respond. I wrote up a letter that was to the point, thanking him for his time and that I know he is very busy, told him I enjoyed that movie as I grew up in Missouri and know about the history, very graciously asked his help.

Any other suggestions? Thanks

Good idea! I've had CD inserts and DVD inserts lost in the mail when venues/management haven't passed on my fanmail and when I've written again, just mentioned it in passing. 1 or 2 have sent me replacements.
