With all the millions of dollars he has made over the years he charges for autographs ? I think thats ridiculous and i can see some actors charging who have fallen on hard times or never made alot of money or were one hit wonders but john carpenter charging fans for autographs is just not right.

I just got 2 pictures back from him today and he signed both and He didnt charge me anything. I paid for postage but that was it. I dont know why he sent $20. He would have signed without that money!!

Yea he doesn't charge..I've sent to him twice (got 5 things signed altogether) and he did not ask for anything. Although, I haven't seen him say anything besides "To (name), Best- John Carpenter. Maybe he felt inclined to write something else on your Big Trouble in Little China dvd cover. Congrats on the success!
