Re: Hugh Jackman Success ;)
Use to the mods would come in and tell people not to do this unless people asked, but then I have noticed that they boards have gone a little crazy and most of the older members that were help a long time ago have moved on. Even the information on here isn't really what it use to be. I might do what some others have done and move on myself.

As I said, it used to be anyone would be a Mod. If a Moderator allows fakes to be posted, they don't deserve to be in that position. The site has gone downhill, but objecting to people pointing out non authentic successes is doing nothing but contributing to that. It's about education of members, for newbies and for oldies, and ensuring deliberate fakes don't come on. It's bad enough as it is, but as some members do their best to help, it's impossible to do any more, especially with the number of liars on here.Melindabear2002 wrote:Use to the mods would come in and tell people not to do this unless people asked, but then I have noticed that they boards have gone a little crazy and most of the older members that were help a long time ago have moved on. Re: Hugh Jackman Success ;)
This might be true but a lot of the ones that like to point out what is wrong with something, are just being rude. I understand wanting to help someone, but helping wouldn't be saying "it's not real" and that's basically it. If they are happy there is no need to be rude, even if you want to point out it's not real because maybe they could get a real one. But I remember when VV addresses were posted at the successes came in at a much higher rate. A lot has changed.
But anyway it's rude to continue this on someone's success post.

No "might" about it.
If it's not real, people will tell you.
An AP is not real. Simples.
Also, a "Mod" is one who has their name in yellow bold print. Trainee mods were appointed wildly when this forum started to go downhill.

Re: Hugh Jackman Success ;)
to the original poster i say congrats on getting something back. as long as you are happy with it i will leave that part on that note. as to whether it is real or not i am not one to judge. i do though say as to the rule of people not being able to comment on whether it is real or not, if the admin or mods had any issues with it then they would have spoke up already. this is a public forum and i do agree that if you don't want others opinions don't post it online or at least on the feedback forum. there are times i do want others opinions, but then there have been times that i know that i got the real thing and not post it in the feedback. this is a public website and free to use, and is a convenience to anyone who wants to use it.

You did not clarify with a "moderator". There are no written rules, anywhere, which say authenticity is not to be commented on. People should, in my opinion, comment on authenticity when it is clearly not authentic.Melindabear2002 wrote:Congrats!
And just so you guys know I clarifed with a mod the other day forum rules, you aren't suppose to comment on if it's real unless the orginal poster asks you to comment. It's a rule that isn't well enforced anymore, but it is there.
I will change my stance if you can prove these rules.

People! I do not care about your opinion!) If you do not have anything to do, do not write!)
P.S. Many thanks to those who congratulated me!

Time to grow up mate. There is, in this occasion, nothing to congratulate you on. Sadly this is not a genuine response, and Hugh was nowhere near it. It's useful for you to know this, as it will teach you valuable lessons for future collecting. As this is a public forum, people will comment.

Actually I did after you posted when I was asking about it in another post, a mod got one and said that yes it was a rule and no the rules have not changed. But that the mods are given very little power to actually enforce it. You can go back and read that post if you like. That is all I have to say on the subject. And if someone is happy with what they got then it is a success, regardless of if you guys think it's a success, success is if someone is happy with what they got. Stop taking the fun out of things by raining on someone's parade, if they are happy even if its an AP let them be happy. Geeeeesh
