Matt is right about it taking different size charities varying times to answer.
I am guessing you sent your email to:
arizona@jdrf.org right? Unfortunately
ALL the Arizona leg of the foundation's email goes to this one address, so I think that either your email is waiting to be dealt with, or it might have gone astray
The International Chairman of the charity is actually Mary Tyler Moore, so I am guessing it is quite a major organisation, and therefore presumably it will receive a
LOT of email
My advice is to give it another few days, but if you still have no reply I would call them on the one of the following two numbers and actually speak to a real living person

It is so important to get the backing of your charity, but to be honest (and I speak from experience!!!!) some charities are not all that willing to assist fundraisers (I know it sounds dumb, but unfortunately it is true) :x
If this seems to be the case once you have called them, then I would suggest you cut your losses and chose another charity. I am sure you will be able to find another one along the same lines which will appreciate your efforts more
