No email after all? It's a spam post?

I tried the september management websites and tried finding contact detail for jonathon dickins. So i think ive done some work. If someones got the email address it makes life easier

You'll forgive me for thinking that if the OP could find it, then it's out there. Handing out emails left right and centre just leads to them being spammed and then no one gets a reply. I'm also just one of those members who thinks when the first post a new member makes is "can I have an email address?" then it doesn't bode well. It's up to the OP if he wants to hand it out but I know I am not alone in these thoughts.

No hostility intended, I just don't see why people should expect to be sent information others have worked to find (by the way, I found the contact within three seconds of checking) especially when it comes from a brand new member who has put nothing into the forum. It's a sad case, but it's the way this forum has been going of late, too many people take out, without putting anything in. You should note, however, that my original comment wasn't specifically aimed at you.

How about if the OP would like to give people (like me) the address he/she can via PM (private messaging found in the user control panel). That way the address is not public to everyone and won't get spammed. The OP can even choose to trade his/her success email address for another address that has been successful so that both people benefit. Tada! Problem solved!

You don't understand. It won't make any difference. That will just spam the email even worse. And it will also fill up the OPs pm box. Successes like this show that with hard work, we can get amazing autographs.

Exactly what they said, if the OP wanted to give the email out it would have been in the first post. I imagine the OP already has a stack of PMs sitting there asking the very same question. While this forum is about sharing, none of us serious and/or long term members think it should be on a plate on a forum like this mainly because it's too easy for randoms to say "Can I have it?" when they could be after a free autograph without being a real fan just because it's free, or be looking for a quick buck. This is only heightened when the requests come from members with virtually no posts at all. If you think distributing it via PM reduces spamming, you're right, but only to an extent... as it gets spread further and wider.

Do a little work and you can find email contacts yourself... it's more satisfying, it will help you find more contacts in the future, and it will allow you to get to a level on this forum where you'll be in the position of making friends and contacts who will help you if you help them.

Of course, this all moot until we see an image of the item anyway ;)

Erm yes there are indeed, but they don't tend to have their contact details on a website for someone's management company etc.

Of course if you really want an Adele autograph you could always try writing to her, either via management or via venue, a true fan always tries the method that costs a bit, rather than going for the free email request.

As I said, it's moot until the image is posted, but the principle remains the same in terms of members looking for a freebie.
