Photo sizes in general

Unread post by ttswaps »

Ok so I have just purchased a new printer and I'm not sure what size to select for printing.
I don't want it too big If anything I would prefer it to be small like a original photo size.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I almost always pick two photos that I love, print off one as a 5x7 and the other as an 8.5x11. This gives me the option to use either, and possibly even change up how I have them displayed as time goes on. If you want to find a picture that's big enough to look good as an 8.5x11 or 8x10, then search for computer wallpaper on Google of the film or TV show that the actor is in. You can also just click "All Sizes", or "Show Similar" once you find a picture you like on Google Images. Eventually a large enough one will come along! 8) Also, if you need help with sizing the photo to the paper perfectly, Copy/Paste it on over to Paint (I find that a .2 inch border works perfectly!).
TTM: Tim Allen, Christian Bale, Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Peter Capaldi, John Carpenter, Nick Castle, Henry Cavill, Hayden Christensen, Sean Connery (possibly secretarial), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Charlie Cox, Courteney Cox, Daniel Craig, Bryan Cranston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Peter Dinklage, Christopher Eccleston, Aaron Eckhart, Jesse Eisenberg, Robert Englund, Dane Farwell, Noel Gallagher, Walton Goggins, Michael C. Hall, Mark Hamill, Tom Hardy, Freddie Highmore, John Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Val Kilmer, George Lazenby, Andrew Lincoln, Brad Loree, Matthew McConaughey, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Jason Momoa, Roger Moore, Daniel Radcliffe, Tim Roth, Matt Ryan, Taylor Schilling, Tony Shalhoub, Don Shanks, Christian Slater, Matt Smith, Ringo Starr, David Tennant, Billy Bob Thornton, Christoph Waltz, Adam West, and George P. Wilbur.

I've never thought of that before that's a great idea thanks
I'll do some testing out first and I'll try a 5x7. {up}

Bullcrap. With a good photo printer, good photo paper and good ink you will get great pictures. It's cheaper and easier. I haven't printed any photos at lab for years.

I agree completely. Printing at a photo lab is just a big waste of time and money, when you have a home printer that's made for producing photos. Just look at all of my successes (except Freddie Highmore)... those are all pictures that I printed myself to send out.

The quality of ink.printed photos can.never match that of chemical developed photos.

Ink.photos will age and fade faster.

As long as you frame them, and keep them away from direct sunlight, you're going to be fine! {up}
