I understand your point i wasn't asking to post the email i totally agree please do not post the email ! but i was just stating that this member has no proof like the email used or return address or photo of the autograph and envelope you catch my drift ?luckyas13canbe wrote:C1RQU1T wrote:This is a False success obviously this user has not posted a photo to prove his success nor the email ( Which is understandable) i think this user just wants attention and viewsi don't think Adele signed TTM
As I said, it's moot until the image is posted, but the principle remains the same in terms of members looking for a freebie.

Re: Adele SUCCESS
Erm yes there are indeed, but they don't tend to have their contact details on a website for someone's management company etc.
Of course if you really want an Adele autograph you could always try writing to her, either via management or via venue, a true fan always tries the method that costs a bit, rather than going for the free email request.

Don't you think I've tried that?! It's been a year and NOTHING! I even sent it to September Mangement!

I would have thought that you'd be hunting a bit more for the email then, if you're that keen. Given the September Mgt website is one front page, it doesn't seem like you've looked that hard if you stopped there. But, as has been said, without an image from the OP, we don't know if this is genuine. You don't see many Adele successes.

Re: Adele SUCCESS
Good grief - could we give it a rest? If I didn't unfortunately know better, I would think that I was reading a conversation between some of my middle school students.
Unfortunately, there seems to be at the heart of these mud-slinging discussions a distinct difference in philosophies between collectors. On the one hand you have the assumed "purists" who think that the self-addressed stamped envelope is sacred; on the other you have the supposed "outlaws" who are ruining the hobby by using e-mail.
In fact, there is no real moral distinction, just one of economics. If one person wants to spend upwards of $200 to get 100 autographs, he is not ethically superior - perhaps just privileged with more disposable income.
There seems to be a generally accepted typical scenario, which is: 1) idolize a celebrity because of their talent, 2) send them a prized collection of pictures, and 3) wait longingly by the mailbox for a reply. There's nothing particularly wrong with it - it's just not what I want to do.
I have personally decided that the best use of my resources is to follow this pattern: 1) research who is in different fields, be it sports, entertainment, or politics, 2) send out lots of e-mails, EXPECTING NOTHING, and 3) graciously accept whatever response I get, be it rejection, response, or nothing at all, and determine that perhaps I will be a fan of a particular celebrity based more on their generosity and not just their talent alone.
You may not choose to follow that path, but I have accumulated over 1000 autographs in the past 30 months using this pattern. You may not agree with those of us who do so, but please don't presume to judge us.
