Congrats, Its a shame the way some people are on here. Hatsflyaways photo and the OP do look an awful lot alike to me. Im no expert but the guys saying its real sure out weigh the others by showing pics to back up what they say and the ones saying fake offer nothing to back up their OPINIONS. Either way congrats on your treasured photo. Enjoy it sounds like it means a lot to you.

luckyas13canbe wrote:As I have ALWAYS said guys, if you're going to claim fake/real and there is differing opinion, then provide some evidence.

That being said, the argument of it being "disrespectful" because she's just died made me laugh, it hardly makes a difference in a discussion over genuine nature of autographs. Of course this could all be negated if people would stop feeling the need to either post old feedback on the day of a death, or posting on old feedbacks. There's discussion forums for a reason and that's where thoughts on celebs who have died belong.

if you would check the date of the posting it was in MAY which was BEFORE she died. I didn't post an old one because she died. It is disrespectful to come out here and start talking badly about her and saying mean things to some of her true fans. I honestly don't care what people believe to be real or not because all that matters to me is my own opinion. (I post on this site because I can and because you get entered for the contest!) I asked all of you to leave this post and yet you continued to post anyway. I said it was disrespectful and it hurt me to read such nonsense and yet you replied anyway. I happen to be a major fan of Esther and have been my whole life. I literally was in tears for hours after hearing of her death and I literally just stayed up 24 hours to watch TCM's 24 hour marathon of her movies despite the fact I already own them anyway simply because I wanted to feel closer to other fans knowing they were watching it at the same time as meb. So yes, IT IS disrespectful to say things.

She's dead so what the hell does it matter if you think an autograph is fake or not? It doesn't! No one can send to her anymore, clearly!
A few things, because it's possible you're not quite thinking things through. At no point did I say it was fake, I asked for those commenting to back up their opinion. She may be dead, but it doesn't mean her signature cannot be sold and/or traded by members and as such it's quite important to know the real vs non gen argument. I didn't imply that YOU posted as she died, but many do this every time someone passes away. If you want to use the argument that you can post on here because you "can" then it might be wise to not follow it by telling other people they can't post. The bottom line though is that it is not disrespectful to someone who has died to discuss authenticity of autographs. If that's your opinion, all fair and well, but maybe the internet isn't the place for you if you can't handle comments.

Well I certainly won't be selling my autograph or any of my autographs for that matter. I only send to people that I truly admire and respect...for my own personal collection. I'm not a seller nor do I want to be a seller. You're right though, you were the wrong person, you didn't make the rude remarks. I apologize I just got confused after I went to reply to you and got you confused with another person. However your remark about it making you laugh that I found it disrespectful is rude. It is MY autograph. I am the OP. I asked for it to stop and people continued to make comments in a rude way. There are plenty of other Esther autographs out there ya'll could be making your nasty comments too...you didn't need to continue on mine. NONE of you guys did. The fact is my autograph looks super similar to various different IN PERSON autographs I have seen INCLUDING my aunts, that I believe that MINE is real. Her name isn't even signed neatly it looks like scribbles especially in the Williams! This isn't me saying that ALL of her autographs were real...I'm not going to argue about other peoples autographs because they're not mine. My actual argument about posting on here is because I want to be able to qualify for the contest...I'm not a rich person, the chance at winning that $10 certificate would mean a lot to me.

What I don't understand is why people feel it necessary to continue to post in my post after I told people to STOP trying to convince me or anyone else that MY autograph is fake.

I honestly could careless what anyone in the world says about that particular subject because I'm going to believe what I want and no one else needs to attacked on here in MY posting.

Or I'm going to report you for repeatedly making the same type comments in my posting along with other ones and not respecting my opinion or others...and continuing to post after I've repeatedly asked you to stop commenting.

Can I report you for using annoying gifs and using up bandwith all the time? Seriously, you should realise that you're making an empty threat, we're all bored of this, but if you don't want to read the guys posts, pop him on your ignore list.

I only used it twice and it was only because people don't know how to read clearly. BTW--in that other post I made to you just now, just an FYI and clarification, it isn't saying that the autograph was fake that I found rude it was how it was being said. People made remarks about her age and health factors. Those are NOT necessary and nor are they very nice to make. Someones age and health should NEVER be something to make RUDE remarks towards. THAT is what I was calling rude and you miss-understood me on that part just the same as I mistook you as someone else accidentally. If you are all bored with it...then why are you responding and why are other people saying the same thing to everyone who makes a post about a specific person? Like shouldn't the people sending out the autograph requests be able to make up their own mind on their own picture? And shouldn't the allowed to accept the fact it may not be authentic when they send it out? I just don't understand all the unnecessary comments people make on here in relation to that. Especially rude ones, WHICH cjhanson has repeatedly made on this posting and on other ones as well.
