TYPED LETTER OR HAND WRITTEN REQUEST?

Unread post by Mirza »

It would be great to start a debate on what is more helpful in getting an autograph- A Type Written Letter or hand written one. I prefer to send handwritten ones but then the speed of sending out requests becomes too slow and tiring, :? and success is not guaranteed on hand written requests too.

So I won't beat a dead horse because what I say won't sway people re: letters.

But I will say I always print out addresses to the person I'm writing as well as my address on the SASE if I'm sending a photo and wanting it returned. As all US mail is scanned, a computer or otherwise typed address is easier to read than a handwritten one. I've gone so far as to print the address of the person I'm writing to as well as my address on the SASE in 20 point or larger for legibility.
