I plan I writing to Ms. Rowling soon and I was just wondering if anyone has any tips. I understand that it make might take me two dozen tries. Should I request an autograph in the letter or does she automatically send them in response to the best letters? I'm just trying to figure if she dislikes it when people ask for it....

Ok, not to be a downer, but she very very very very rarely signes authentically. I wrote, made an amazing eye popping letter with handmade fan pictures and props, and wrote a very personal letter and I didn't get one. Only 7 or 8 people as far as I know have gotten anything authentic, otherwise she sends you a pre-printed form letter. Otherwise I don't think she has a problem with anyone asking for it. As far as I know, she reads all the letters, but doesnt sign often.
