Send registered mail or plain?

Hello. I'm new here.
I wanted to ask something but i don't know if this is the right section.
When you're sending your requests to various celebrities, do you send in a registered mail? or plain?
I want to send to Tom hanks and i thought maybe I should send a registered email to make really sure that it gets there..
What do you suggest?
