I'd like to send some fanmail to Benedict Cumberbatch

I really want to send a letter to Benedict Cumberbatch, hopefully asking for an autograph. I was wondering if now is a good time to send one? And what address should I send to? Thank you so much!!

hey! -
its always pretty hard with Ben cause he's so in demand right now, but if you're sending a letter as well as photos, it's more likely he will reply.
i think he may still be filming Sherlock so you could try that address (i don't know it by heart)
or you could try the normal one that is put up here.
i have one success from him from the hobbit set, one from the Sherlock set and i got a PP from his normal one.

So he does respond to his agency address sometimes ? I sent to the Sherlock address last Monday but I think they're done in Cardiff so I'm not sure that he will get it :-(

he has said he reads most if not all of them even if he doesn't reply, so if you put a lot of time and effort into the thing you are sending, he might just do it.
if it was first class he might've got it?
there was images in the news of Ben playing Sherlock so any sent to that address may have been seen?
i'd leave it for a few months, then send more if you don't want to send more straight away.
but it is very difficult as he is so in demand!:D

Thanks so much ! It's very starnge. I've heard of people getting replies after a couple of weeks and some replies have taken months. If I don't get anything back from the Sherlock set then I'm going to try The Imitation Game.

i was thinking the same as you to begin with
it is weird - obviously he won't be opening all of them, so i guess his manager people may decide who they think should get a response sooner or later, yano priority
it is hard though, i've got a few from different addresses but my best friend has sent of at least 6 VV and normal, and not received any back! so i guess its just luck really..

So, you've gotten replies from Ben ?! May I ask if you've sent to the Sherlock venue ? I ask because I also had an issue with a possible bad address and I've been trying to even figure out if mine went to the correct address at all. :neutral:

yeah i've had responses,
i got personalized ones from the hobbit set & the Sherlock set.
my friend has on from his primary address shown on this site.

i don't put up the actual addresses because of spamming risks, but if you Google it you'll see whether people have had success from the address or not

i think they're still filming the last bit of Sherlock, so you might have a chance of getting one back from that one, even if it takes a long time.

the one i sent to the Hobbit, i also got a handwritten letter too
