Phantasm was a movie that scared the heck out of me. In large part to Mr. Scrimm. In retrospect I do find it weird I wrote him thanking him for giving me nightmares. LOL But write him I did. I sent him a LOR, a 8X10 photo and a SASE and I received back one of the coolest successes I've had in a long time. Not only did he sign and personalized my photo. He made notes on my original LOR and returned it as well. And he also sent a movie card from one of his more recent movies. I have become a bigger "phan" than I was before.

That's a GREAT photo. I wrote to Mr. Scrimm back in the 90s and while he didn't have any Phantasm pics to send out, he sent me a disturbingly cute candid photo of him with his dogs:

It is just so cool that he actually writes back to his fans. I wrote him twice an recieved hand-written replies both times. Yea, definately the sort of thing that makes you a bigger Phan.

I'm a long time fan of the series, and just met Don a monbth or so ago. By the way guys, did you know that Kat Lester (the Lady in Lavender from the first film) signs TTM? She charges, but turns it around quick and also includes a photo of her own (in addition to anything you send). I sent my poster out to her so I'd have her along with Angus Bill, Mike, Don and Reg.You can contacter her over at her website -

Really? I just used the contact section, explained what I was asking about and got email back in a day or two. I actually did the web search on a whim and found her pretty much by accident. I did just look through my email and couldn't find an old message with an email address, sorry. I'd try the contact page again and ask about rates to sign a picture and where you could send it. I think I spent $20 (maybe 25?), and sent a SASE. She signed my Phantasm poster, and also sent a signed photo of her with Bill Thornbury (the one in the pictures section on the site) as well as a postcard from the Davida Magazine interview (also on that pictures page) initialed. Definitely worth it.
