S.A.S.E

Unread post by fionnbharr »

Ok I have a feeling this is a silly question but I just need to make sure. When I am writing to someone requesting a signed photograph, I have to include a S.A.S.E big enough for a photo to fit inside right? SO what is the average size and can I bend this envelope in half to fit it in a normal sized envelope? does that make sense? I'm new to this!

Yeah, a self addressed, stamped envelope is usually the best thing to do. :) Sometimes people don't include postage, and they do hear back, but it's definitely best to include postage if you can. As for the size of your envelope, that depends on what size photos you want to send. You can send any size you want, basically, (within reason, of course). 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, etc. Whatever you want to send. And yeah, you can fold one envelope to put it in the other. I would suggest putting a piece of cardboard or something inside the return envelope, to help keep your photos protected on their way back to you. If it's a really stiff piece of cardboard, it might be difficult to bend the envelope, so just get a slightly larger sized envelope to put it all in.

Hope that helps! :D

Some do have photos specifically set aside to send out autographs on. And I think sometimes for others, if you don't send a photo, and ask them to send you one, they may well do so, though it might take longer. I always send my own photo, though, and a lot of other people do too. So if you can find one, it might be good idea. But again, some of them might send you their own photo if you ask.
