so we all know cornette, simmons, mero & king addresses are good, because you have got multiple returns from each. This is why all the bigger names who were good signers quit signing! This thread use to go thru multiple pages a day, now its a month!wrestlevessel wrote:I got my 3rd autograph from Marc Mero and my 2nd from Jerry Lawler today. So I also got back from Lawler. Jerry Lawler signed 3 of 3 and included an amazing note thanking me for being such a fan. I have met Jerry countless times since I was a child. I even included a photo of him and I from about 3 years ago for him to sign.
The second return was from Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne. He signed 3 of 3 also and wrote a note for my son encouraging him to keep up with his dreams and aspirations of becoming a wrestler. He talked about the highs and lows of the business and how hard it is to actually make any money but that if you enjoy doing it, that's all that matters.
Big thanks to Matt and the King.
Very awesome successes!! Lawler is great I've met him once and got a ttm once from him. I'm excited for the Evan Bourne return as I sent to him a few months back to so maybe I'll get him soon. Today was an empty mailbox for me. I usually get people a day or 2 after others on here so hopefully I get bourne this week.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I suppose it was inevitable that this thread would become a wasteland, but for a few years there, this thing was cutting edge in terms of who all was coming back in the mail.
Then, the old guard got tired of the new people that didn't contribute everything.
Thus, the only successes you see week in and week out now are the addresses that were valid four years ago of the same old good signers. Ho-hum.. I used to check in her once a day.
Now, I average about once a week... Not what it used to be, that's for sure.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Agreed . I got so sick of people begging for address then after you gave it they send 2 3 four times to they person in a 6 month span no wonder most stopped signing. Whats worse with the current stars I know for a fact some told others not to start signing from home and if they did they would get bombarded.( eve shamus swagger ) come to mindCubsFanKEC1982 wrote:I suppose it was inevitable that this thread would become a wasteland, but for a few years there, this thing was cutting edge in terms of who all was coming back in the mail.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
That's really not fair for you to say something like that man. You've probably been doing this for a few years. So you have a success from most / if not all of everyone that does TTM. It just basically means you're ahead of everyone else on here in that aspect. It's not a wasteland to many.
I've been doing it for a year in a half and their are only some I still have to get/try. I wouldn't say the sites a wasteland. Every now & then someone new pops up. I just think their aren't many newer wrestlers doing TTM.
Now their are newer fans "TTM'ers" that are on here trying to do what you were doing when you started. Get TTM's from wrestlers.
I've started sending VV to a few wrestlers that do signings, after I confirm with the place that they'll pass it along. That's how I got Luke.
No reason to say the sight isn't fun anymore once you've already reached your goal on autographs.
Heck if you feel the need to keep yourself happy research new addresses of wrestlers that haven't been mentioned for over 10 years and noone has thought about. I did that for Horace Hogan yesterday & will be sending to him soon.
Good Luck man, I just hate seeing negative energy shown on sites I visit regularly.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Actually it is fair for me to say that.. Myself and a handful of others did the ground work to locate the addresses that many non-contributors repeatedly pound into the ground to this very day.brochester8 wrote:That's really not fair for you to say something like that man. I don't just have a ton of Jim Ross or Ron Simmons successes. Some of my successes are quite frankly impossible to duplicate.
And then when I get an amazing success, I've got 10 PMs from people I've never conversed with asking for the address..
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
havent had much success lately wrestling wise, only wrestler i had in is buff bagwell. met him 2 times. 1st time in 1992 where wcw threw a birthday party for alot of the little kids in bluefield VA ( i was 9 years old at that time) met him where he was marcus bagwell and then again in 2002 at a indy wrestling event and i bought a nwo picture for ten bucks lol. now 11 year later i get 3 pictures in the mail. very weird. Others i gotten, from sting, jerry lawler after he came back from his heart attack last novemeber, ron simmons, teddy long , haku, joey styles molly holly (a raw trading card) hulk hogan, dixie carter and my 1st one was ricky the dragon steamboat. other than that, ive been very dried up with wrestling pictures in the mail. have not had anything in a while.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I find addresses all the time. For every 1 success I get, I probably have 10 to 15 that I'll never see again. Not very many of the current stars do ttm at all, but every time I find an address, I give it a shot. The US Postal Service should send me a thank you letter or something. I'm trying to keep them in business.
Got to meet Koko B. Ware at a local show the other night in Savannah. He was selling gimmicks so I bought an old WWF 8x10 of High Energy and he signed it graciously. I asked him if he would mind signing a trading card and he said no problem. I had a plastic card holder in my pocket with about 10 different cards of him in it. I was searching through them trying to find which one I wanted him to sign and he asked "Are all of those of me?" I replied yea, to which he said give me all of em. He got a kick out of looking through all of them. He even read the backs of each one. I told him multiple times that he didn't have to sign them all and he said man, you guys make my living so anything I can do to give back makes me happy. I had always heard Koko was a tough cookie when it came to dealing with fans, but on this night he was a class act. Thanks Koko.
