Whatever you say lol I think it not only proves they read my letters but they liked what they saw too... If ginnifer didn't read my letter how did she see the drawing I did of my cat she mentions right on the signed photo ...

I think it proves at least the people I send to read the letters,Maybe if you think they don't read yours its because they are typed and they cant be bothered reading a form letter.

Did any of them compliment for your handwriting? Doesn't look like it. They liked your kind words, doodles, and drawings. Nothing about your handwriting.

For the record, the one I sent out yesterday is the only one I've done so far. This is not something I do.

You don't seem to have much respect for people who don't have spectacular handwriting do you? People have said they've had success with typed letters.

But you know, just to play along, I'm gonna handwrite a really abysmal letter with really sloppy handwriting to the next one I send to. It'll go something like this:

"To Mr./Ms./Mrs. Famous Person,

You awesome. Send autograph.

Regards,
Me"

I mean that's a really crappy fan letter. But it'll be handwritten so that'll certainly ensure that I get one.

Its not about the handwriting itself its the point that you did hand write it, You don't get it at all do you... I mean I dont think you like getting pp photos do you ? Because that was hand signed by the celeb then printed out just like your letter to them is...But You are right you probably should stick with the typed letters in your case..Good luck

When I said compliment you for your handwriting, that includes the fact that you handwrote it. And none of them did compliment the fact that you handwrote it.

So if one of us is not getting something, it's you not getting the difference between a hunch and definitive proof and what defines each.

I have proven my point and I will continue to handwrite my letters and you can do what you do. Let's be realistic, most celebs do not read our letters, but when they do, I'm 100% sure they respond better to a great letter printed on a computer than to a lousy one written by hand.

This is a contradictory statement. If the celebrity is not reading our letter, then our only way to stand above the mundane and showcase how big of a fan we truly are is a hand-written letter; they may only glance once or twice at it, but they know that we were heartfelt and sincere. On the other hand, a typed letter shows them that you're: A) Not truly a fan, B) A dealer who's just going to sell the picture, or C) Indolent and undeserving of their time and energy. I definitely have to agree with "johnnylightninglives" that this is a hobby you're meant to put as much into as you can, and every aspect of it is meant to be a fun and rewarding experience. The way you're going about it as if it's a numbers game, which is just... wrong. In closing, you can go ahead and be as lazy as you want to be (it looks like you are making strides in that area of expertise ). I, personally, would rather have 27 honest successes, as opposed to 50 hollow ones that are stripped of all meaning. But hey, we can't all be genuine individuals in this world. I get that. This will be my last contribution to the current discussion, as well.
