This was a true story. It was just me and my pal Chris in the hotel lobby.
When Benson & his coach walked in they were about 15' away and we kindly asked if he'd have a second to stop and sign for us.
He looked over, hesitated & started muttering something about going up first but said he'd come back... sha right we've all heard this before.
It was Tuesday of fight week (early w/o no weight cut'n stress) and it was ONLY me & my pal Chris there.
No worries it was expected.
So yeah, in my short note asking for my cards to get signed I said what happened & "reminded" him what he said. haha
I'm thankful he signed my 2 cards, so it's "squashed" haha

Do you (everyone on fanmail) collect only fighters you like or do you collect others as well because they are a champ, former champ or successful in general?
Henderson is a good fighter but I think he is goofy and I don't really like him. I would not write to him even though he is successful and talented. I'd prefer to have a long almost-forgotten fighter from the early days like Scott Ferrozo, Andre Roberts or Tsuyoshi Kosaka.

Me personally I just love getting UFC Topps cards signed.
So I'll send to pretty much anyone with that's on a Topps card (except no WMMA for me)
I don't send out every card from each new set that comes out but I send enough.
All to create collages like these. (2 of my 9... and only 1 duplicate in all of them, a Rory MacD Rd4 in 2 collages)
