In mid-2013, a friend of mine went to a signing and brought back this signed picture of Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob.

In December 2012, I sent a request to Steve, who voices Master Chief in the Halo video games. he sent back this 8x10

In early 2012, I met Darryl at a signing booth at the New York International Auto Show, where he gave out signed 8x10s

A few weeks ago, I sent out 2 8x10s, LOR, and SASE to Sirs Patrick and Ian at the address for the play Waiting for Godot listed in the database. About 3 days ago, I recevied both pictures back signed by Sir Patrick and one with a signature from Sir Ian.

Very impressive collection - good for you! I especially like the Joe D. autographed photo. I live not too far from where Lou Gehrig had a house in New Rochelle, NY and I talk to an old guy at the park who used to go fishing with him as a kid in the 1930s before Lou moved to Riverdale. In 1988 I found a 6' tall double locker filled with sports memorabilia from 1930 to 1949 along with some 1934 and 1935 Goudey and 1934 Batter-Ups baseball cards in NM condition, and a Batman #1 comic book. What a score - I bought it all for $300.00 and sold it for $33,000.00 fast turnover. Today it would be worth a fortune. I still have boxes of the baseball sports pages from 1939 - 1949 that I don't know what to do with.

Thanks dancingirl1, and cagneyfan that is a pretty legit score indeed. there are definitely tons of people who would likely buy up your sports pages. have you ever gone to a card show? there is one every few months in White Plains that I've been to. Thousands of people with their sports collections, of which most of it is up for sale. You don't even need to get a table, you could go around and just ask people if they are buying and tell them what you have. It's also pretty fun to walk around and look at everyone's things. Last time I went, a guy there had a full table full of his Babe Ruth stuff, none of which he was selling, but he just wanted to show it off and let people check out his awesome collection. Thanks, I appreciate it! I was in shock for a few days when the Robert Downey Jr. stuff came back. That has to be one of my favorite successes.
