Nice find. Confirms it for me. Some people just don't want to believe. Oh well.

Re: Doris Day success
Whoa, so maybe her TTM's are real. I mean asst's LIE to fans in PERSON, BUT I don't think they would scam the world and have them bid on a fake...Call me delusional, IDC. That's just my opinion. (not to you BS18, just in general)

Britney Spears==>> 6 #1 albums. 2 diamond albums. 8 platinum albums. 400+ awards. 200M+ records sold. Britney has sold over 45 million records this decade despite only releasing three albums. Globally, Britney has more #1 singles than any other female artist except Madonna and Rihanna. "Oops!...I Did It Again" by Britney is the 5th best selling album of the 2000s decade worldwide. Britney is the only female artist to chart her first seven albums in the top two of the Billboard 200. Britney has achieved at least one #1 album in 3 different decades (90's, 00's, 10's). Britney is the first solo female artist from the 90's to reach 1 billion Spotify streams. Despite NOT even being a single, 'Tom's Diner', ft. Britney , has become Giorgio Moroders best-selling digital track. 2015 Billboard Awards ratings reached a 14-year high, with numbers peaking during Britney's performance. She IS the princess of Pop. I would hope so, too. But what about the other signers out there who send secs through the mail for people's charity auctions. Wouldn't that be the same?dancingirl1 wrote:

Call me crazy but i would find it hard to believe that Doris Day would refuse or have a problem signing some stuff for charity from her own foundation.vivalakayla wrote:I would hope so, too. I'm not necessarily talking about her. I got signed photos from John Travolta years ago for a charity I did and people said he sent secs for the auction. Which is why I brought this up. I also found it hard to believe that John would too. But the thread never died down. It was quite similar to this one but more rated R than PG. So, if John would do it - would Doris too? Is there a line that is drawn with stuff like this for celebrities? I don't do charity anymore for this very reason.

Re: Doris Day success
The difference is with Travolta, THE FANS are requesting his autograph for their Charity. You can email his website and whoever signs for him(June Travolta?) will sign a photo like she does with ever other autograph request and mail it out. John doesn't even know anything about the charities that fans are requesting autographs for.vivalakayla wrote:BS18 wrote:

With Doris Day, the foundation is auctioning off some signed items for their own charity voluntarily. Their asking for money in return for those signed items. So it seems less likely that they would try and fool fans and take their money for a fake autograph, esp when it's coming from a foundation that Doris Day is closely involved with. I personally don't believe she would say "Nah, someone else sign that. I don't care if the people who donate to my animal charity gets a fake autograph"

Re: Doris Day success
It was me and the company I was working for at the time who reached out to Travolta's management. June is who we spoke to. She sent several different photos they normally don't send out to me for the auction. No one ever even saw these photos and had said they were fake. Not gonna rehash that crap - but either way I find it awful that ANY celebrity or person sending fakes for a charity. Whether it be the celebrity themselves or their staff. I'm really hoping that it wouldn't be the case for Doris, but I don't know. & that is also just your opinion - that you think she wouldn't send fakes to auction. But we will never really know. I think the debate on Doris's signature will be going on for a long time. No one should throw out their autos of her though. That would be stupid.BS18 wrote:

Re: Doris Day success
Like Who? John? I think that situation is different. His fans are the people who are sending to John asking for a signed photo to be auctioned off to. Doris' people are the people who are saying "this item is real...etc.." you see what i mean?vivalakayla wrote:I would hope so, too. Re: Doris Day success
Yeah. I see the difference. Still really sad though either way. Especially if it's an official company/charity. It's better they don't send ANYTHING than something fake.dancingirl1 wrote:Like Who? Re: Doris Day success
I do not think anyone here has acted like a child in giving their opinion. I will never base mine one one persons story. I am basing mine strictly on the 3 photos. For me those photo's have been signed by two different hands. Take away the "story" and only study on the photo's, can you really believe the same person signed those 3 photos in the span of a few minutes?BS18 wrote:jason1980s wrote:It sounded like the guy knew she would be around the place at the particular time BUT again, the autograph portion of the story doesn't seem to add up. Many collectors know where a celebrity will be so it wouldn't be surprising if he had three photos on hand.
Only thing possible for a reason the signed pictures aren't in the photo op is that he could have had her sign them in the hotel that was mentioned, and left them there to take the photo or he left them in the car.
You'd think he'd want to take one with the photos, to def. prove the ttm aren't fake and since. And since it seems like Doris did spend some time with him, I'm sure she'd be OK with an extra, maybe even suggest to take one.
I still think the ttm are fake and I think the secretary is having fun adding the little squiggles and designs and the names of Doris' dogs.
I will say, too, she looks great in the photo.
Even if they got a picture of her signing the items, you know someone would say something else to try and say their still fake. "The guy made her hold TTM autographs", "It's an old photo, not from the same day", "It's photoshopped" But i agree it would still be very helpful if he did. I'm not saying it's impossible he tried to trick people but logically speaking we don't go to each IP topic and think..hmm i wonder if this is made up. But just because it's Doris Day we take it 100x more seriously
I know this won't matter but just to know what kind of "random" person were talking about.. according to his FB He's been in the United States Air Force for a number of years. So he's not this random creepy hound on the street...If you don't believe me about that.... https://www.facebook.com/rduma1/media_s ... 699&type=3 So i would assume this is more of a legit character witness that you can get. I feel like i'm in court.
When the next person is going to act like a child with their opinion, you better be showing me pictures as well showing me why their fake.
