Re: Comic Book Collectors

Hey guys,

First of all, I owe an apology...I don't get on an actual computer very often, just use my phone primarily, so when I had saved to my favorites the page asking if anyone wanted my recent successful addresses, all I was seeing when I returned was ONE REPLY. Little did I know, that just ended that particular page, so all this time, I've looked like a liar in saying I'd post them...

I do have some things I need to do today, so I'll post as many as possible, but all these have worked for me over the past year or so. And I'll STRESS-the reason I've had these successes is that I always send a SASE and something to sign, or if asking for a sketch, I include a sketch card (3.5x2.5, same as a typical baseball card, you can get them at hobby stores and art supply stores). Some of these are repeats from what's already listed here, but at least it's verification they're current. Good luck guys!

Mindy Newell (writer-Daredevil, Wonder Woman, Elektra)

I'll post more very soon. This is 1/3 of the successful addresses I have written down to post here, so hopefully you're all seeing some you need so far!

And I'll TRY to keep checking back, but the easiest way, should you need to contact me to ask a question, is via Facebook.com/ClintHedges. And if you want to check them out, I've been posting my recent Super-hero drawings in a photo album on my page, fittingly titled, 'Super-Hero Drawings'. :)

Good luck guys!

Met IDW Comics artist JK Woodard at GallifreyOne over the weekend. I purchased a print of one of the Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover covers from him, and he kindly sketched a Cyberman for me at no charge:

Hi guys (and girls!), I have been a long time comic collector/autograph hunter. I just found this thread, and LOVE it!! You all have given me more help in the two days I have been reading than I have gotten in 10 years! I have two questions I need some clarification for: I have sent to Dan Jurgens before, but I sent a comic only. He, of course, signed it beautifully. I have seen where a number of you all have gotten rough sketches from him as well. How would I go about asking for that, or does he just take the initiative and do it himself? Should I include sketch paper with my comics? Next question: I've seen two addresses for Herb Trimpe....which is the current one? Thank you for the help you all have already provided!

I have a zero hour #0 that is basically a blank front I think I will send to him. Should I ask him to "personalize" it with a sketch since it's the perfect sketch cover?
