Gosh, thanks for your answer. I'll try to send to Torres. Thanks againcallum30 wrote: If you are based in the UK send requests to Hazard, Torres, Cech - Sent to them twice and got all my replies in a month, the chances are you will not get a reply from a footballer in less than a month although it does happen but footballers usually take 4 weeks+.
Everton are by far the best team. I have had replies from Howard, Baines, Osman, Distin, Lukaku, Mirallas, Coleman, McCarthy and around another 2 that I cannot think of from the top of my head and all of those autographs took around 3-7 weeks.
The best teams in the UK to do this with are Everton, WBA, Norwich, Chelsea and Southampton, and other questions please PM Me.

I know, that I'm not the only one, but those hundreds of people already got 1 or 2 signs, but I didn't. You can read everywhere, that people get their answer very very soon and I don't. I asked, because everyday I check my post and I have nothing. It really gets me down. I just need something, that would change it. That's why I asked that question.MW1221 wrote:
Right, because you're the only collector who knows the feeling of not getting an autograph or a few months.... Mhmm.
And I have just as much right to fault you for asking questions like this as you have for asking them.
And from the subject, I couldn't tell if it was a reasonable request or not.
Oh & btw thanks for your answer

You'll see, even if you want to get a fast reply (who doesn't?), sometimes you'll have to wait. In my short experience as a collector so far, my longest waiting time for a reply is of nine months (which is only surpassed by a ten months waiting time but I only got a pre-print from Clint Eastwood, so I'm not even counting it, although I thought that one was lost), can you believe that? Not nine days, not nine weeks, but nine months. Actually, my first request ever was a mess, because I didn't quite understand things very well at that time. I sent just a SAE, the envelope was way bigger than the picture I sent, no cardboard to prevent it from bending, no stamps... Well, just an envelope, a letter and a picture. After I sent it, I remembered not including any money for return postage, so I was worried about that. After some time, I completely forgot about it. As mentioned above, nine months later I got a reply and it was very cool. He didn't sign the picture I sent (he's no longer signing I think) but he sent his own pre-signed picture.
Well, that was my first success experience!
If you are looking forward to collect autographs, I'm pretty sure that you already have some people in mind to write. In my case, when firstly wrote to John Williams (my first success) it was by chance, as a friend of mine told me about this website because he was traveling to the US, I don't know how he found Fanmail.biz. By that time, I wasn't even aware of autograph collecting, and being John Williams a composer I admirer a lot (mainly for SW and Indiana Jones), I gave it a chance. And voilà , now it's more than two years since I joined this forum.
Sometimes, when you wait for so long, you may even forget that you sent that request. When you finally get that reply that you forgot about it's like a sweet victory!
What's the point about this? Don't worry about the waiting time, just write to those you admire and would like to have in your collection. I live in South America, and replies will always take more than three months, generally, so tell me about it!
Good luck and happy collecting
P.S.: I see that Sir Ian McKellen is one of your most wanted! Write to him using the addy in the database and you'll have a reply for sure.
