You would need stamps of the country from your envelope will be sent. For example, if you're sending to the UK, you will need UK stamps to stick them in your SAE. If you're sending to the US, you will need American stamps. If you're sending to Sweden, you will need Swedish stamps, and so on. Canadian stamps are valid when sending from Canada to another country, or they would be valid in a SASE if sending to a different location in Canada.
OP states they are sending a request to Canada.

So of course they will need Canadian return stamps on their SAE :)
Oops! Sorry about that, I misread the OP :oops: In that case, you'll need Canadian stamps [ca] {up}

Yup, sending to Canada and return will be coming back to me in the US, so do need Canadian stamps, of which I will hopefully receive yet this week. Still might need to call the postal service there to double check as I weighed the return envelope and it weighs 4.2oz which converts to 119.07g, so if over the 100g(if G indeed stands for grams) I'd need 5 of the $1.20 stamps to ensue I get it back.

Only other question is about the return envelope and if they'll accept one that says United States Postal Service on the back or if I need one that dosen't say anything about our postal service. I know where there's a Staples near me so may run there tonight to see if they have any photo mailer envelopes that are similar to the one I purchased from my post office.

I don't think that would be a problem (better check!) as what really cares are the stamps! :D

Well, think I have it all figured out, called the customer service number and the guy I spoke to said the envelope I have would indeed be fine, it is the stamps that matter. I am still waiting on my stamps to be sent and I'm wondering if this is normal. I purchased them Friday and yet the order still shows as "processing." Hopefully they'll be sent soon so I can mail it out before the end of next week.

But now I'm even more confused on the postage! LOL My return postage will be $5.15 per my calculations and per the customer service guy, yet the someone who received a package from this person, was sent directly to her as a thank you for something she sent, it was $2.20 and was weighed in kilograms at 0.061kg. My package will be 3.7 ounces(so a little over 100 grams) when its sent back, so I'm confused as to why that one was cheaper than what mine will be when it seems to have weighed more than mine will. Wonder if it has something to do with the actor going to the post office to mail it and I'm using the $1.20 USA letter post stamps(which are correct per he Canadian Postal Service website)? I guess as long as it gets back to me that's all that really matters, but man is the postage difference confusing me! This is when I wish I had a Canadian relative(that I know) I could have it sent to to forward to me, then I wouldn't have to figure anything out. Wow is all I have to say, but it coming back to me will be worth this trouble as this person is worth the going through the trouble of figuring this out.

If yourcalculation and the assistant on the phone arrived at the same price that's the one I would go for {up}

0.061kg is 61g so I think you have your answer there- it's much lighter than your item :)

I was never great at math and when we were being taught the conversions to the metric system it all went right over my head! So I had no idea that's what it was, the kilograms vs grams threw me I guess. I'd rather spend a little more though and have the picture arrive safely via a photo/document mailer envelope than risk it being bent as happened to one picture I received in the past.

Now if they could just hurry up and send me my stamps I'd be set.

Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it and now will know how to get photos from actors in Canada with a postage paid envelope in the future.
