No Success Yet for Larry Storch Autograph

Unread post by ghl921 »

I sent a photo, letter, and SASE to Larry Storch address (West End Evenue, NY, New York) in early April 2014. I still have not received anything back as of June 20, 2014. I was hoping that the 'wait time' wouldn't be that long, based on what has been posted for success on obtaining his autograph.

Larry has signed so many years for free but I fear his signing days will be coming to an end, at least ttm.
He still does in person events and seems in great spirits and good health. He has someone do his facebook and they posted how hard the mail has been to handle and how they would like to go through an ebay store in the future. Perhaps they see Larry getting money at the shows and want him to go through a fee system ttm. Only time will tell...

What takes a few days or a few weeks for one person can be a few months or even a few years for another. Nothing is guaranteed, especially when people are doing us a favor by signing stuff. They can be busy with family, on vacation, or whatever... or they may just one day up and quit signing. Or your item may have gotten misplaced anywhere along the way. It's happened. (I've had one hard signer I contacted by email tell me OK, send the item, and that was a year and a half ago and I still haven't seen it.)

I like (again) collecting autographs by mail because my job hours are such that I'm home when the mail arrives, and it's always a thrill: Do I get one my envelopes back? No? Well, maybe then tomorrow. And then the wait begins again as well as the anticipation that today may be "the day."

Don't like waiting, autograph collecting is not the hobby to be in. Even in-person, there's waiting in lines, and even then it's not guaranteed (due to line caps, the person taking a break) until the signature is on your item. Period.
