Are you just buying random packs/boxes or are you buying the base set from other collectors? I haven't seen those cards yet - they look plain jane for once.

Hey BJ.
I only picked up 6 of the new 2015 Knockout Cards - from eBay & thru collector pals on Twitter.
The Topps UFC Knockout series is normally nice & plain but the 2013 set had dark backgrounds.
This 2015 set seems lighter which is good for signing & they changed to a normal card stock thickness after being 2X thicker from 2010-2014.

I only got 5-6 of the 100 or cards in the set. A large portion of the set are WMMA & I don't bother with other women besides my wife ;)
After the WMMA in the set the only fighters I needed were these:

Joe Soto
Neil Magny
Josh Copeland (!)
Aljamain Sterling
Corey Anderson
Ken Shamrock (picked this one to add to a mat display I have)

Picked up my Barao/Dillashaw UFC FN in Chicago tickets! Got row 3 instead of row C in Sect 116 but that's OK.
Row C would have gotten us on the walkout isle again. Row 3 next to the tunnel instead of lower toward the floor.

Remembered I didn't post my helper haul from UFC187 inperson graphing.

Best of all for the set is DHK on the Rd4 2010 base... (only Blackburn & Brock left)

Returns from UFC headquarters and letter

Unread post by DaRRinS »

I have been out of town for about 2.5 weeks. I was hoping when I came back I would have some returns waiting (I returned 2 days ago). Unfortunately there wasn't any. But I did get a letter from the UFC headquarters. I originally threw it away (thus the crumbly nature of the scanned photo) but then I thought I would hang onto it. Have any of you on this forum gotten anything like this?

Today, however I did have more luck. I got an autograph back from UFC owner, Lorenzo Fertitta! I send my own printed pic and he sent me back a very nice promo pic of his own. Took about 1 month (Sent 5/11/15, got back 6/8/15).

Lorenzo and Dana always sign because they realize the fans made them billionaires.

I have also gotten the letter from the UFC that you got, it quite possibly could be the same template. I didn't scan mine and just threw it into my collection. I believe it was for a Chuck Liddell request, but I'm not even 100% sure.

Cheers.

Did some craft work on Wednesday.
Recreated a 90 card horizontal collage into a 98 card vertical collage to match my current designs & make more wall space.

Image

Reused the old horizontal black backgrond to finish this 90 portrait oriented card collage.
Back to only a few signed UFC Topps in my binder now. #NewBeginnings #JourneyTo90or98 haha
This last collage I decided to add a few of the cert auto cards I've had in my binder for years.
Normally I only put IP/TTM signed cards in my collages but "eh, why not" (still no duplicates) :)
