With my success, I sent a SASE with a 3.15 pound stamp for postage. I did send thin cardboard with to prevent bending.

You need 2 First Class British stamps, (I think they are red at the moment) That will allow for him to send back 1 or 2 photos, I think the Royal Mail website sells them in booklets of 6. A thin piece of cardboard is a good idea, and you should write DO NOT BEND on the front and back of the envelope you send and on the one you want him to send back.

This type of request would probably do better in the "Collecting Help" or "Stamps" forums.

Good luck! I hope you hear from Sir Ian. :D

I believe that you can buy UK large letter stamps on eBay. I recently received an autograph from the UK and it was a postage stamp for 3.15 pounds. I also contacted the Royal Mail service and they said that you can only order postage stamps over the phone as their website is for businesses only. I hope that you get the autograph that you are seeking.

The RM website has a very easy to use price calculator.

Card may put it over 5mm thick, at which point it becomes much more expensive.

How much 1st class stamps would you need for a European country (Belgium)? I have some stamps, but I have no idea what the value is of the 1st class stamps and I don't find the website that helpful.

Many thanks!

Thanks! :) I've tried googling it, but it's so confusing. The price finder says it's about 2,38 pounds (VAT not included). So that's 4 1st class stamps? Sorry for being so difficult, but I'd rather have it confirmed than regret it later :p

No problem I am happy to help when someone has already made the effort themselves :)

Ignore VAT that's for businesses only.

Yes 4x 1st Class stamps would be correct for a £2.38 price.

I would encourage you to run through the price calculator one more time to be sure, if you haven't already.
