I sent a LOR, 5x7 photo, and a SASE to the Downton Abbey set address (no longer valid as the series has wrapped) around June/July and received a response today, October 30th, 2015, for a total of around 3.5-ish months. She personalized the picture:

This is my third response from a Downton cast member out of the nine requests that I sent. Overall, a very nice response from a wonderful actress. The little note on the back may not seem like much but it's those little touches that make these kinds of things so special!
