Problem in Autographs for Sale Forum

Unread post by chewytoffee »

Hi everyone {up}

Can you all please check out this thread in the Autographs for Sale forum as people are accusing cillianrox4eva of trying to sell fake in person autographs.

http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=36208

What should be done about it?

I must admit the Rupert Grint autograph does appear to have a 'drawn' look to it ( especially with the two 'Ts') but I could be wrong...

Thanks,

Paul :D

Well spotted Paul {up}

I must admit some of those autos do look a bit suspect :wink:

I have locked the thread to stop any arguments, and it appears that the poster is away now until late august anyway :P

Normally I'd agree with you the thread needs to be watched! But I believe those people! The Hilary signatures are obvious fakes. Check my sig Im a Hilary expert. Also the Britney Spears doesnt match IP's and also like the third one said the Britney and Katie look like written by same person.

Hi Dallas

I don't know whether I made it clear before but I also agree with those people!

I also find it very odd that they say the following, as to why they don't want to keep them:

"I've realized that these don't really mean a lot to me. I've only kept them in the junk pile, so I want to sell them to real fans"

I'm sorry but if I had half of them autographs on some great pics like that, it would be the last thing on my mind to go and sell them.

Also they say: "I will keep collecting in person autographs and sell it for those who have not the chance to get one. If you have any requests on a celebrity, I could try my best to get an autograph for you. (Premieres, concerts, autograph sessions, etc.)"

If someone does request an autograph via an in person meeting, I can almost guarantee that they will get it, because this user will probably wait a few weeks, and then probably fake the auto.

OK. I've been doing my Hilary Duff research!! Paul, you weren't a member yet butv late last year there was an address for Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan. 13777 Lambertina PL Maryland Many people wrote and got Hil and Lindz autograph. Later on this member who just posted these "IPS" said" Guess what, I just found out this will be my new home" after the address was then non valid. Those autographs that came from that addy. Match her IPS of Hilary, I believe she faked those Hil and Lindz autos and her new "Hil Ips"!! Opinions????

I think this is the thread you are talking about:

http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... ight=13777

That is absolutely unbelievable! As soon as a member said that a relative lives near that address, and would check it out, cillianrox4eva 'threw them off the scent' by claiming that she had received a message to discourage them sending fanmail to that address.

That's basically because I think 13777 Lambertina PL Maryland might be cillianrox4eva's home address... and she has been signing photos for fans. Secretarial signatures are bad enough, but I'm guessing that cillianrox4eva hasn't had permission to sign on behalf of Hillary Duff.

cillianrox4eva wrote:"Hilary Duff is No Longer at this Address. The Company Has Decided To Stop Recieving Mails Because They Were Getting Too Many Letters And Is Not Able To Mail Them All Off To Hilary. The Postage Would Just Get Higher And Higher. Please Try

Also, Please Note That Hilary Is Busy Touring At The Moment And Will Be Able To Sign Pictures At A Later Time."
Very odd indeed, and well spotted Paul {up}

Apart from the fact that the grammar of the above message is not 100% correct (e.g. "The Postage Would Just Get Higher And Higher") or professional sounding at all, there have been no other reports of such message from anyone (and no proof from cillianrox4eva either).

Additionally, if this were the case, wouldn't the letters come back as RTS rather than posting this message back? It doesn't seem right at all ...

Very suspicious :shock:

Also... I just realized if people sent letters like

Hilary Duff
c/o Hilary Duff Inc.
13777 Lambertina PL

and that was April Li's (cillianrox4eva) house the post office wouldn't have delivered them would they? They should've circled Duff and said Not HERE!

If I have the USPS rules correct, I think that they don't check to see if the addressee is at the dwelling, they just deliver the letter. It is up to the person who received the letter, package, etc. to return the object with a Not Here message.

I've been doing some detective work of my own. :lol: The address in question belongs to a person named "Joshan Yao", however a "J Li" does live at 13783 Lambertina Pl.

Isn't mail fraud a federal offense?

Yeah, Joel is correct. It's not the name on the evelope that matters, it's the address.

But I think mail fraud is some kind of offense :? What kind of mail fraud probably matters; certain kinds are probably more punishable.
