I sent a LOR, 5x7 photo, and SASE to Joanne Froggatt at the Downton Abbey set address (no longer valid) around June/July and received a response on November 17th, 2015 (and totally forgot to post it!) for a total of about 4 months.
Hers is the fifth success out of ten requests I sent to the cast (all to the set back in June/July). I lost my original list of those I'd sent and thought I'd only sent nine, but I re-counted and realized that there were actually ten cast members to whom I sent letters. I received one from Hugh Bonneville today, making my success rate with the cast 60% so far!
