if your sending to people in the UK and you live in the UK, the stamps cost 44p for a A4 envelope right? or can we still use first class stamps until the new rules take over??

Hi guys {up}

I know there is a lot of confusion about the postal price changes for the UK, so I am going to update the postal thread ( http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?p=49124 ) now!

Basically the price changes only relate to UK domestic mail, international mail is not affected.

Therefore any overseas collectors writing to the UK won't need to pay any more for replies. It will only affect UK collectors writing to the UK.

I sympathise with the annoyance everyone else is feeling (the Royal Mail anger me too :x ) but actually all they are doing is bringing the pricing scheme in line with the rest of the world. Most other countries post prices are based on weight and size of envelope :wink:

Please check out the link above later for all the new prices.

EDIT: I Just Realised That Since Theres This New 'Size As Well As Weight' Proportion Thing, & If You Want To Send An A4 Envelope You Have To Get One Of Them 'Special' Large Stamps That Now Cost 44p, That My SASE's That I've Sent Before This Size Thing Came In Aren't Going To Get Back To Me, Because They're Only Normal 1st Class Stamps =[ Hopefully, The Celbrities Will Realise This & Add Some More Postage On, Because If Not I Won't Recieve Any Of my UK Autographs Back
So thats another trip to the post office to get these ridiculous stamps. Could we just put 2 1st Class Stamps on or has the word Large got to be on them otherwise they will refuse it? Because it really matters! DIE ROYAL MAIL :lol:

Wow then I sure am lucky here in India! IRC's are Rs.50, which is approx. $1! And it costs just Rs.15 to post a letter overseas - that's like 30 cents!

The previous ones cost 60p each, but the new ones have gone up to 95p each, and get this... apparently they're not worth any more in other countries. The Royal Mail are just out to get us! I'm starting using less IRCs when I send out requests (I used to send 3, but I'll just be sending 2 from now on before the cost of sending requests gets out of control!).

Yeah you're right. Today I bought 2 and they were 95p each. :?
