Just be careful that TheMailman doesn't give you a neg. reputation for pointing out facts and truth.

I just got one from him since I pointed out the fact that TTM Tom Cruise sigs from earlier this year were secretarial.

Instead he should have better answered my 3 very simple questions:
1. How old are you?
2. How long have you been collecting autographs?
3. How long have you been studying signatures and graphological traits?

What a funny day...

Best,
Stephan

I can see why so many people don't bother to post their successes on this site. There seems to be a competition to see how many hopes and dreams can be squashed in a single post. To me it seems like if the person DOES NOT ASK someone else's opinion about the authenticity of an autograph than all that should be said is congratulations.

Just think about how excited the person was when they pulled the letter out of their mailbox. They probably rushed right in the house to scan it so they can post it and say "look what I got today!" - then you people come along with your "holierthanthou" attitudes - "this signature looks nothing like the signature that I recieved last month when I met "so-and-so" - gimmie a break!

You have convinced me to never share my successes. I will keep them to myself - happily content with WHATEVER I received!

Ain't it politeness too to answer to questions you were asked? Think about that for a minute.

In this specific case I'd like to quote Andy...

I definately don't see where someones hopes and dreams are an issue. No one on here is stealing someones college fund or telling someone they can't be a doctor, lawyer, actor or even the president. Autograph collecting is a great and fun hobby and some collectors on here actually do want to know if what they received TTM is actually authentic or is it secretarial, preprint, autopen, etc. I see nothing wrong with stating facts and I would just like to make one more point regarding what I see posted alot on here about" We will never know 100% what is authentic and what is not unless we are there to see it being signed" quite frankly if that was the case there would be no forgery convictions, there would be no operation bullpen, there would be no court certified handwriting experts etc. I dont have to see a tree fall in the woods to know that it has fallen. If it quacks like duck and looks like a duck then it's a pretty sure bet it is a duck.

LOL@ "I hope your dog runs away" That was funny!
