I didn't mean just in this case! :wink: I've seen in other threads that you always say you don't send postage and still receive things back, and that you think the celebrity could afford to pay the postage for you etc.

I didn't mean it as offensive, I just thought it could be comfortable for them you send to! :wink:
Ok no worries :) I only send IRC's if I send a photo {up}

This is another never-ending debate since I see so many collectors on here who think the same way TheMailman does that celebrities should/could afford the postage.

It's not surprising to me that some celebritoes simply stop signing at all when they receive hundreds of letters every week where there's no SASE or IRC enclosed.

As a celebrity I'm not working all year long to pay for return postage when so-called fans think they can send requests without a SASE/IRC.

But like I said before unfortunately this seems to be a never-ending debate...

Best,
Stephan

Hi howboutthosemets :D

Sending a SASE or SAE and IRC's are simply seen as a kind and polite gesture to the celebrity.

If you really want an autograph from both celebrities, maybe it's time you weighed up your options. Who do you want to write to more?

I sent an IRC to Pierce and had it returned, but it did show to him that I was willing to pay return postage for my photos :wink:

By sending only 1 SASE to both of them, it can be difficult if one of them want to reply and the other doesn't (or they get through their mail at different times).

Perhaps you can start sending to one of them, and then if you get a chance to get more stamps/IRC's send to the other?

I always send a SASE or a few dollars depending on the size of the SAE I'm including. What I do is fold the dollars in to swans, I've gotten several thank you's for the "swan" in my replies. :)
