HELP IM TOTALLY CONFUSED!!!

Hi!

I saw a topic of a sase..and now i'm totally confused!
I always taught that the original enveloppe was the sase!! :o
but its not!!??I am always sending a big enveloppe 9x12 with my letter in with..but we need to include another enveloppe in it??!
Could someone plz help??!

An SASE is a Self Addresed Stamped Envelope that you include in the envelope addressed to the person you are writing to along with fan letter, photo to sign etc. You include an SASE with your autograph request as this helps the celeb with the cost of postage, so they don't have to pay it for themselves. 'In depth studies', courtesy of Ian AKA TheCollector , have proved that supplying an SASE improves the chances of receiving something back from the celebrity.

When writing to a celebrity, you will need a total of 2 envelopes:

1. Addressed to the celebrity. You will enclose in this envelope your letter, SASE and something to sign (e.g. photo - optional)
2. Your SASE. This will be addressed to you. The celebrity will use this envelope to send your item back (e.g. photo - if you have sent one) or send an item of their own.

It is just politeness to send a SASE with your request, and saves them time and money because you're paying for the return postage. Additionally, you have a greater chance of receiving something back if you do send one.
