Unread post by kevinle123 »

hi, i was planning on sending a letter to Jodelle Ferland, and im really excited about it. does anyone know if she supplies pictures, or do you have to supply a picture of her? if so, where do you get the pictures? I was also wondering if the autographs from her are legitimate?

-thank you so much

Hi kevinle123 :D

Welcome to the forum!!

I believe she does send out her own photos, so you won't need to send one of your own.

You can send out your own photos to be signed if you wish. To do this you can look for some high quality images of her using the image finder at sites such as google and print them out onto photo paper (either at home or a photo lab) or buy some photos of her from somewhere (such as at http://www.allposters.com).

However, in any instance you will need to send out a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) so she can send you something or return your photos. I would recommend sending a large 9x12 inch envelope as almost any sized photo will fit in the envelope.

I'm fairly sure her autographs are genuine {up}

Her address can be found here: http://www.fanmail.biz/56907.html
A list of feedback from other members of this forum can be found here: http://www.fanmail.biz/feedback/Jodelle_Ferland.html

Good luck!

Hi kevinle123 (again) :D

Don't be nervous!! It'll be fine

You should have a good chance of receiving something back from her as there have been numerous reported successes from her from other members of the forum (see http://www.fanmail.biz/feedback/Jodelle_Ferland.html)

As I said earlier, it's best if you include an SASE with your letter - as this will highly increase your chances of receiving something back.

However, since you do live in the US and not Canada I do suggest you send 2 IRC's (or 3 to be on the safe side) with your 9x12 inch SAE (self addressed envelope) if you can't get Canadian stamps. You won't need to send cash if you've sent IRC's as Jodelle will use these coupons to exchange at the post office for stamps to stick on your SAE.

With any request for an autograph, the hardest part is the wait  I guess with that comes the chance for you to try and forget about the nerves, relax and then when you least expect it is when you'll receive your autograph.

Good luck!!!!

nowandagain thank you SO MUCH!! that made me a lot less nervous! thank you so much again!! you are a really helpful person. SAE's are those big package letters that are dark yellow colored right? ive seen some that have like a metal T shaped thing that can shape through a hole and you put them back together to close the envelope, and i have seen kinds that you can lick to close. which do you recommend? lastly, should i write "do not bend" on the outside letter, or the inside letter or both? once again thank you for helping me, i appreciate it!

Hi kevenle123 (again)

A SAE is simply an envelope (any envelope) which has been addressed to you, but have no stamps on it (as opposed to an SASE).

I highly recommend sending a large 9x12 envelope as they will accomodate any sized photo. They're not necessarily yellow, but they could be white.

As for which type of envelope to use - you can choose to get one with the metal T on it (as you mentioned) or the ones where you have to lick it.

I would recommend getting the one where you lick (or ones where you can peel a strip away and they have the adhesive on it) to seal the envelope. I just feel that it's a more secure way of receiving the contents in full - ensuring that no one has access to the contents except you! The ones with the metal T are OK, they're easier to seal and open up, but I'm just afraid that someone could open it and take something out without your knowledge.

Hi kevinle123

Don't worry ... all is good :P

For your two envelopes:

- The one on the inside (the SAE) should be a 9x12 inch envelope (recommended) as this will fit almost all photo sizes inside. Remember to send 2 or 3 IRC's with this SAE so Jodelle can return something to you.

- The one on the outside (addressed to Jodelle) can be any size, providing it fits your SAE, letter and IRC's.

You can fold your SAE to fit inside the envelope addressed to Jodelle. Just don't forget to write "Do Not Bend" on the SAE and "Air Mail" to ensure the package gets back to you quickly.
