Hi superfan18 and Taxi_06,

I just write a generic e-mail to each address along the lines of:
Hello!

My name is (Insert name here) and I am a really big fan of yours. I really enjoy your work and always enjoy seeing you in something new. I am writing to ask if you could please send me an autographed photo of yourself. My address is below.

Thank you for your time,

(Insert name)

(Insert address)
Please note that you have to send seperate e-mails for each request. If you send more than one at a time, your request will be deleted.

Hope this helps!

The celebrity does not read the e-mail. Studio Fan Mail (SFM) is a company which sends out pre-prints and autopens, which are fake autographs.

Yes SFM is, as far as I am aware, 100% safe.

There not  I never understood the point of the SFM forum. It's just the same 'success's' all the time :|

Handing your address out in an e-mail, thats just asking for trouble

Hi TheMailman :D

If you have an issue about the SFM forum, please let it go. It's not worth your time.

Btw ... handing out your address to SFM is safe, because they only use your address to send out a photo. They receive a large number of requests a day, so it's not like they'll drop by your house or anything.

TheMailman - if you want to know, it's probably safer to hand out your address to an SFM address as compared to requesting via email to a celebrity, especially one where you're not sure if the address is legit or not.
