I sent a letter with picture and autograph request on 1/26/16. I just received a response. my picture was not signed but I did receive a signed photo of the former president that looks to be a real signature. my name was written out in pen on the photo so I figure why not the signature be real too? I would appreciate it if anyone can share their insight on this signature. Does it look real or is it a pre-print/autopen? Thanks in advance!
"my name was written out in pen on the photo so I figure why not the signature be real too?"
Bad assumption. Many times it's a secretary (real) inscription but an autopenned signature when it comes to presidents.
John Glenn was the opposite when he was signing: Real signature but inscription added by computer, many times, especially on his L/ES photos he used to send out.

I had my Bush Senior reply authenticated by PSA/DNA, who verified it as authentic (but not the inscription). They also said my Carter was authentic, but my Bush Jr. was fake.
