Unread post by dgangel »

Hey,

I think that there should be one of them things, lol I dont know what theyre called. When people have to type in all them different numbers and letters when they are signing up to get an account, to prevents spambots.

Hey :)

This function is already implemented in the forum. The spam bots have (somehow) found a way around it. :?

I have an idea for preventing spam, which I'll discuss with admin in a bit. :mrgreen:

I thought of this too {up}

Most registering forms for websites ask you to do these things, it's a shame they know how to get around it though :|

Some boards require that the administrators accept the users first, don't they? Or is that only Yahoo Groups and such?

hm, i think thats only on yahoo & msn groups and stuff. Thats a good idea {up} , but would it get a bit overwhelming? Or are there not that many people that register a day..

Do these accounts have to be activated, like do you have to go check your email and then paste the link into your browser and activate it?
