Addressing your letters
I'm fairly new to collecting autographs through the mail, and before I send away some more letters, I just want to check something. When you send a letter to a celebrity's agency, will their secretary read it and ask the celeb to sign whatever you have sent or will they send it on to the celeb the letter is addressed to and the celeb reads it themselves. The only reason I ask is because when I write letters I refer to the celeb as if their secretary is reading the letter. But after reading posts on this forum, it has made me think that the celeb reads the letter themselves. Thanks for any help you give me.

Welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately, after we send our requests we don't exactly know what happens to them - whether the celebrity handles their mail personally, or their agent/secretary/assistant does.
I think it really depends on who the celebrity is, how much time they have to answer fan mail and how much fan mail they receive.
When you write letters to celebrities - you don't even know if they actually read it at all, or if someone else reads it on their behalf. That is why when you write your letters to make sure you only include information that you would feel comfortable for the celebrity to read, and anyone else (e.g. agent/secretary etc) if that is the case.
Good luck!

I always write as if I'm talking to the celeb. It makes more sense when he or she reads it then if I write it as if I'm talking to the agent or secretary and the celeb reads my letter. But like stated earlier by nowandagain no one really knows who reads your letters.JBond007 wrote:So would you write as if you are talking to the celeb, or write a letter as if you are talking to a secretary/agent on behalf of the celeb?
Hope this helps.
Goodluck with your requests

I'll do that from now on then! Just one more thing, when several celebs share the same address have you ever sent 2 or more seperate letters under different names to the same address? The reason I ask is because celebs I want to send requests to share the same address as those I have already sent requests to and I don't want to wait for the sent one to return, before I send out some more.
