I update the database and enter people to the drawing simply because I am a Moderator CP, and that's what they should do?

The CPs are there to update the database to help the site, not to race...

I could imagine the competition was added to make more moderators want to use the CP.

Yes but it should be balanced.

It is our job but it totally defeats the object if the same people do it.

It doesn't become a job for the other CP's except the regulars who do it.

It's a matter of who's online at the time the feedback is posted and who sees it first, isn't it? The job is to get it done and it is getting done. It shouldn't matter who does it. Should it?
Once again, I think it comes down to the reputation points.

I agree with you. Just like you said, the job is to reply, so what does it matter who replies to it.

I think it all has to do with the reputation points. It doesn't matter to me personally if someone beats me to all the posts, but I can see where some people feel the way they do

Thats why I dont update too much anymore. Everytime I try too its already done. But at least the job is getting done.

Vert well said. I absolutely agree, the repuation points don't matter to me. It's the fact that your in the mist of entering someone another person has already done it, put no effort into the reply and takes the wrap.
