The definition of SPAM

Unread post by TheMailman »

Could admin or a moderator of Feedback make a sticky on what SPAM means. I've been thru alot of the feedback posts and a few members seem to be following in the footsteps of GlamourGirl72, tweetybird818 etc.

I think if there were a sticky asking all members to look before they post, we might actually get somewhere {up}

Thoughts?

spam: a canned food product consisting esp. of pork formed into a solid block.

I think that there may be a reason for a spam sticky at the top of the forum, but realize that many people don't even read stickes (just look at collecting help)

Here's the simplest definition of spam

spam: a disruptive message posted on a message board/forum

LOL

Well I know what you mean. No one looks at the stickies in CH.

It's just when people post their feedback, they get messages from people who don't even know who the celebrity is. They just want to raise their post count :|

Yes, spam is basically raising your post count with crappy posts.

We should tell everyone who spams. It's time to be stricter.

I agree with you that there are a lot of members (especially the new members) that simply reply to every post every day just to raise their post count.

I guess maybe there is cause for a sticky at the top although it will get read, it will probably be ignored.

I also think that many of the people in question are very young members who don't realize that gravity of what they are doing.

Yup.

I'm being picky here but I don't think font colour should be changed unless necessary

Not quite sure how that would be considered spamming.

There are a few members who are consitantly posting great sucess messages everywhere, I think their posts like this should be deleted, and the members warned either via PM or the warning system.
