Hello! I have two little questions. But first, some backstory. I am trying to give my mom a really special gift. She loves Judge Judy and wants her book, Beauty Fades Dumb is Forever. However, I wanted it to be extra special so... I purchased the book and sent it to Judge Judy, asking her to sign the inside cover. The US Post Office said it would only take 3 days, but it took a week to get there because it was delayed. I do not know why it was delayed.
When it was finally delivered, it said "Delivered to Agent" on the tracking website. If you have ever sent something through the mail to a star, did it say that or is this cause for concern?
Secondly, I wrote the correct address and all that but I did not put "Judy Sheindlin" on the envelope. I did not include her name, just her address. Is that going to be a problem? The letter of request on the inside has her name on it of course, but still. It has been 6 days since it was finally delivered, so I am being impatient, but I dont know if failing to include her name on the envelope has doomed me.
Thank you for your time and help in advance!

Re: Simple quick questions!
I never track my letters to the Star since it would get expensive so I don't know about those things.
One tip is never send something you would be heartbroken if you don't get back. There are no certainties in this hobby.
When addressing an envelope to ANYONE you must put their name on it!
Going on memory I think judge Judy replies so fingers crossed for you.

If you send out a photo, more times than not it gets sent out as a first-class package - because of the cardboard stiffner and the "do not bend" markings - and as a first-class package, there is tracking included (automatically).
Tracking, when it works, shows only that it's been delivered to an address, not necessarily the person. Celebrities have mailrooms (if through an agency) or handlers/personal assistants. So "delivered to agent" is nothing to worry about because there's nothing you can do - that's just the way the mail goes.
Delays with the PO is normal. I've had mail take shorter than the time said, as well as longer. A week is normal, quote unquote.
As for replies, some reply quick, some reply in more time, and others reply not at all. What may be quick for one person may take longer for another - there's no real rhyme or reason. Six days is too short a time period. And there are no guarantees if or when something will be returned to you.
